About me

I studied opera singing and vocal pedagogy at the Hochschule für Musik „Franz Liszt“ in Weimar under the tutelage of Professor Eugene Rabine.

During my time at the Hochschule I started the four year training to become a CRT(Certified Rabine Teacher) which imparts detailed knowledge oft he anatomical, physiological, neurological, psychological, acoustical and biological relationships of the human instrument producing voice as well as intensively training visual and auditive perception.

I successfully completed both in 2007.

In 2011 I started another four year training at the Rabine Institute and worked regularly until 2018 with Professor Rabine on my own voice and repertoire. He died in November 2018.

In the Autumn of 2017 I began the four year training to become a CRS (Certified Rabine Supervisor). The aim of this training is to be able to coach and supervise teaching according to the Rabine Method and to lead and accompany trainees (mostly voice teachers, speech therapists and singers) through the four year training to become CRTs.

I started singing classically on stage in 2001 and sang in concerts and recitals in Germany, the UK and Italy.

I enjoyed working with amazing musicians like Roger Vignoles, Dorothee Mields, Christopher Northam, Santy Masciarò. Cora Irsen and many others. For the BBC I worked with British composer Phil Dixon recording one of his works.

Right now my love for Early Music and Italian Romantic songs and arias finds an outlet in the collaboration with the excellent lute player and guitarist Wolfgang Daiss and wonderfully versatile pianist and harpsichord player Roman Lemberg.

Our repertoire ranges from Vivaldi, Händel, Purcell and Dowland to Verdi, Donizetti, Bellini and Rossini as well as some modern composers.

The current work in progress is an Impressionist lied recital with songs by Gabriel Fauré, Claude Debussy as well as Impressionist paintings and fragments of poems with Christoph Daniel Hoffmann playing the piano.

I have three wonderful children aged four, nine and eleven.

I teach at home in my own studio and in Stuttgart.
